The participants discussed the results of nomination for the UNESCO World Heritage List, talked about the issues of preparation for the nomination, paid attention to the objects that are currently being prepared for the nomination, and also discussed the prospects of joining The Great Silk Road international project.

The object presented by Khakassky Reserve—Oglahty Mountain Range—was highlighted as one of the most successful projects implemented within a short period of time. The Oglahty Range had been nominated under both cultural and natural criteria, and soon the Khakassky Reserve received a letter signed by the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, confirming that the object had been included in the UNESCO’s Tentative List meaning that it became a candidate for inclusion in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. At the moment, regional specialists work on preparation of the nomination file for inspection and evaluation of the object by the UNESCO’s experts.
