Yenisey River Day

The Khakassky Reserve announces a poster contest for the Yenisey River Day celebrated on September 24th.

The Yenisey River Day is celebrated on the last Saturday of September. This environmental holiday was established by Viktor Zimin—head of the Government of Khakassia and chairman of the Guardian Council of the Khakass branch of the Russian Geographical Society. The holiday celebrates the Yenisey River—one of the most important rivers for people from the Siberian Federal District.

The Khakassky Reserve invites everyone to participate in the poster contest titled “Clean Riverbanks”. The message of the posters must promote preservation of the Yenisey River biodiversity, show connection between the river condition and people’s health, and explain environmental behavior when spending time near the river.

Requirements

• The minimum size of a poster is A3 (30 cm × 42 cm), and the maximum size is A1 (60 cm × 80 cm).
• Any drawing technique or material (such as colored pencils, watercolors, gouache paint, inks, colored chalks, etc.) is accepted.
• A photo of the poster must be uploaded to a photoalbum.
• Leave your first and last name and phone number in a description.

The contest runs from September 15th to 21st, 2016. Winners will be announced on September 23rd, 2016.
